Cemtrex Completes Installation at Westar Energy’s Jeffrey Energy Center

FARMINGDALE, N.Y., June 22, 2011 — Cemtrex Inc. (OTC: CTEI) announced today that it has successfully completed an installation of boiler combustion efficiency monitors at Westar Energy’s coal-fired Jeffrey Energy center power plant, on boilers supplied by Foster Wheeler North America Corporation. The Cemtrex monitors installed at twelve locations in the plant are multiplexed CEM (Continuous Emissions Monitoring) systems that monitor the boiler exhaust, optimize combustion fuel efficiency and produce data that is useful for overall plant process control and performance.

“Cemtrex’s system, apart from being used for EPA emissions reporting, is ideal for process monitoring and control applications,” said Mr. Arun Govil, CEO & President of Cemtrex. “With increasing demand for higher fuel efficiency in fossil fuel boilers, more challenging performance from process monitors is required, which we are able to deliver.”

Cemtrex expects several other large coal-fired plants to update and optimize their existing combustion systems in the near future as part of the energy efficiency initiatives by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the present administration. Each system costs approximately half a million dollars to install and control the boiler efficiency. Cemtrex is well-positioned to meet this market with its advanced technologies and extensive experience in this field.

Cemtrex Inc. is a worldwide market leader in manufacturing and selling the most advanced instruments, equipment and systems for emissions monitoring and control for the industry. The Company’s products are sold to power plants, refineries, chemical plants, cement plants and other industries, including federal and state governmental agencies.
